The largest antlered big game animal in New Zealand

New Zealand is recognized globally for world record Red Stags and following the footprint of Red Stag was the introduction of the Rocky Mountain Elk. New Zealand is continuing the trend with some very large heavy Elk. We are proud to have a private herd which is consistently producing bulls in the high SCI 400’s and into SCI 500 class. These would be some of the purist throughout New Zealand. Often known as Wapiti, typical and non-typical bulls are available to our hunters during the same period as the Red Stag. The Elk rut/bugle is also during March-April.
